Obituary for Braeden Richard Sconce

Braeden Richard Sconce, 19, of Holts Summit reaped his harvest as he entered the gates of Heaven on Tuesday, February 27, 2018.

He was born on November 6, 1998, the son of Wes Sconce and Shelly (Dunnegan) Sconce.

Braeden was a 2017 graduate of South Callaway High School. He made the most of his high school years by being involved in many activities. Braeden was a Captain of the football team, on the golf team for four years, and was Senior Class President. A vivacious young man, Braeden lived his life to the fullest and loved to make people laugh. He was active with the local chapter of Young Life and enjoyed playing X-Box.

Braeden’s memory will be forever cherished by his parents, Wes and Shelly Sconce of Holts Summit; sister, Mackenzie Sconce of Columbia; brother, Caleb Sconce of Columbia; grandparents, Wendell and Phyllis Sconce of Holts Summit, Richard Dunnegan of St. Peters, and Brenda Dunnegan of O’Fallon; great-grandmother, Milda “Biddy” Sconce of Holts Summit; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Braeden was preceded in death by cousin, Joel Ortwerth.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 4, 2018 at South Callaway High School Gymnasium in Mokane with Pastor Shay Roush officiating. Friends will be received from 2:00 p.m. until the time of service at the school. Friends will also be received from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, March 2, 2018 at The Crossing Church in Columbia, Missouri.

Memorial donations are suggested to the Braeden Sconce Memorial Scholarship, payable to Wes or Shelly Sconce, c/o Maupin Funeral Home, 301 Douglas Boulevard, Fulton, MO 65251.
