Obituary for Judy A. Trammell

Judy A. Trammell, 78, of Jefferson City passed away peacefully at University Hospital on May 20, 2018.

She was born in Mexico, Missouri on July 10, 1939, the daughter of the late Richard Ross Murphy and the late Gladys Bernice (Acuff) Murphy.

Judy worked at the office of Dr. Lawrence E. Giffin, DO and at Callaway Nuclear Plant. She retired from the State of Missouri where she worked in the House of Representatives Mail Room. She enjoyed reading, watching Missouri sports teams, and watching movies. She also loved to be outdoors fishing, sitting outside, and gardening. Judy was also an avid animal lover. While those things brought her pleasure, nothing compared to time spent with her family and attending her grandchildren’s activities.

Those remaining to mourn her passing include daughter, Jina Johnson (Glen) of New Bloomfield; son, Jay Trammell (Angie) of Mokane; sister, Kay Sue Tremaine (John) of Holts Summit; brother, Richard Dale Murphy of Los Angeles, Ca.; grandchildren, Drace Johnson (Lindsey), Cheznae Johnson (Tim Mumpower), Mallory Trammell (Garrett Sims), and Nicholas Trammell; and great-grandchildren, Dakota Johnson, Deklin Johnson, and Lily Mumpower.

Along with her parents, Judy was preceded in death by brother, Ross Dick Murphy.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 24, 2018 at Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton with Pastor Joe Gibson officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.

Memorial donations are suggested to Goldschmidt Cancer Center, c/o Maupin Funeral Home, 301 Douglas Boulevard, Fulton, MO 65251.

Condolences may be left for the family on this site.
