Obituary for Michael Joseph Adrian

Michael Joseph Adrian, 65, of Fulton passed away at his home in Hams Prairie on Monday, November 27, 2017,

He was born on May 29, 1952 in Saint-Jérôme, Quebec, Canada, the son of the late Robert Adrian and the late Louise (Lootens) Adrian.

On August 4, 2007, Michael was united in marriage to Margie Lynn (Frasher) Adrian. She preceded him in death on March 14, 2016.

Mike led a life of service, joining the United States Navy in 1970. After discharging as a Radioman Petty Officer 2nd Class in 1979, he obtained his programming certification from Nichols Career Center. He continued his life of service as a Programmer/Network Engineer for the Jefferson City, Missouri Public School District and the Mt. Diablo Unifed School District in Concord, California. During his younger years, Mike was an avid weight lifter and fisherman. He very much enjoyed playing softball, tennis, and racquetball; even proclaiming to be “the base racquetball champion.”

Mike lived his life to the fullest. He enjoyed his time in California, taking in as many of the sights and places as possible. He spent his later years with his wife Margie and the two of them enjoyed playing cards, watching movies, and of course, playing on the computer.

A devoted family man, Mike also had a strong faith in God. His faith carried through good times and bad, and his family finds solace knowing Mike is now at home with his Father.

Those remaining to mourn his passing include sons, Chris Adrian and Jon Adrian; daughter Laure Long (Steve); step-son, Michael Loucks (Dion); step-daughter, Alicia Loucks; brother, Dennis Adrian (Brenda); and grandchildren, Stephen Long, Cayla and Dustin Loucks, and Jayden Fashang.

Along with his parents and wife, Mike was preceded in death by sister, Judy McDonald.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, December 1, 2017 at Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton with Father I. C. Medina officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 30, 2017 at the funeral home. Interment with Military Honors will be in Hams Prairie Cemetery.

Memorial donations are suggested to VFW Post 2657, c/o Maupin Funeral Home, 301 Douglas Boulevard, Fulton, MO 65251.
