Obituary for Paul J. Gallatin

Paul J. Gallatin, 87, of Fulton joined his wife in Heaven on December 16, 2017.

He was born in Carrollton, Missouri, on April 20, 1930, the son of the late Paul H. “Jack” Gallatin and the late Dolly (Northern) Gallatin.

On November 2, 1950, Paul married Lena Belle (Garriott) Gallatin. She passed away on their 67th wedding anniversary, November 2, 2017.

Paul graduated from Mokane High School. He served his country during the Korean Conflict in the United States Army. For more than 60 years, he was an electrician and dedicated member of IBEW Local 257. He was a member of Church of God (Holiness). Paul was very dedicated to his God and church, his family, and his Union. He was also a talented wood carver.

Those remaining to cherish his memory include sons, Lyndell R. Gallatin of Columbia, and Michael D. Gallatin (Marion) of Fulton; daughter, Susan Witte (Brad) of Fenton; grandchildren, April Peek (John), Lynlee Renick, April Pittman (Chris), Audrey Jones, Rebekah Gallatin, Misha Thompson (Curtis), and Grace, Sam, and Joel Witte; and great-grandchildren, Jasmin Peek, Matthew and Emilia Renick, Arieon and Tyree Galbreath, Travis Gallatin, and Genesis Thompson.

Along with his wife and parents, Paul was preceded in death by son, Stanley Gene Gallatin; brothers, Grant and Kenneth Gallatin; and sister, Norma Watson.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 19, 2017 at Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton with Reverend Travis Sayler officiating. The family will receive friends from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Interment will be in Steedman Cemetery.
