Obituary for Pierre Antwan Glenn

Pierre Antwan Glenn, age 55 of Columbia, MO gained his heavenly wings in his home on Monday, October 7, 2019.

Pierre was born on November 18, 1963 in Nashville, Tennessee. He was the son of Emma M. Woods and the late Charles L. Britt.

Pierre was united in marriage on June 27, 2015 to Shari E. Lee.

Pierre grew up in Fulton, Missouri while living with his Aunt Fanny Emory. He graduated from Fulton High School in 1982. He played football and basketball. Pierre loved to cook, watch the news and all sports. Part of his daily ritual was to call his children, grandchildren and family members. Pierre cherished his children and family. He loved being in the presence of family and friends. His laughter was infectious.

Pierre was a lead landscape developer for Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN until he became disabled from a work injury. Pierre was a member of The Church of God in Christ. He gave his life to Christ at an early age.

In addition to his wife and mother, Pierre is survived by his sons, Antwann Stanley, Juan and Tamaurice Glenn of Nashville, TN; step-son, Dae’yon Jordan of Columbia, MO; step-daughters, Asia Walker of Charlotte, NC, Sheila Walker and Cherelle (Marcus) Smith of Columbia, MO; brothers, William (aka Billy) Glenn of Nashville, TN, Charles Kemp of Fulton, MO; sisters, Chekita Woods-Perkins of Atlanta, GA , Roselee Wilson of Fulton, MO and Annita (Zach) Hopkins of Columbia, MO; four grandchildren and four step-grandchildren; Godmothers, Nancy Lee and Geraldine Thompson; God brother, Verdis (Moriah) Lee; God sister, Dawn (Tony) Paine; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins; and a very dear cousin, Cortez Bradford.

Pierre was preceded in death by his father; sister, Patricia Glenn; Grandmother, Grace Dowell
(known as Momma Grace); and Aunt Fanny Emory.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 19, 2019 at Victory Fellowship Church with Pastors Dustin Holt and Dawn Paine officiating. Friends may call from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service at the church. Repast will be at Guiding Light Baptist Church.

Memorial donations are suggested to the National Kidney Foundation, c/o Maupin Funeral Home, 301 Douglas Boulevard, Fulton, MO 65251.
