Obituary for Trallis Wynona Kemp

Trallis Wynona (Meadows) Kemp, 91, 0f Fulton passed away on Sunday, December 10, 2017.

She was born on February 26, 1926 in Fulton, the daughter of the late Joseph Jackson Meadows and the late May Ernest (Burton) Meadows Winingear.

On February 16, 1946, Trallis was united in marriage to James E. Kemp who preceded her in death.

Trallis retired from Fulton State Hospital. She was a member of Reform Baptist Church and enjoyed attending services. Her hobbies included sewing, crocheting, cooking, traveling with family and visiting on her front porch. While all of these things brought her pleasure, nothing compared to the times spent with her family and friends.

Those remaining to mourn her passing include sons, James R. Kemp (Pamela Sue) of Fulton, and Richard Kevin Kemp (Liz Stone) of Columbia; daughter, Shirley Fletcher of Mexico; nine grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by brothers, Leon, Pete, Shannon, Don, Kenneth, Wesley, and Hollis Winingear; and sister, Mary Louise Meadows.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 16, 2017 at Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton with Pastor Bruce Williamson officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Friday, December 15 at the funeral home. Interment will be in Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
