Obituary for Harry L. Feaster

Harry Feaster, 81, beloved husband, father, grandfather, uncle, friend (if you were lucky), & Jack of All Trades departed Missouri on February 2, 2018. His family was there to send him off.

Harry was born January 21, 1937 in Williamsport, Pennsylvania to Harry and Virginia Feaster. He graduated Williamsport High School and enlisted in the United States Air Force. During his travels in the Air Force, he learned many construction skills and gained many talents.

He later landed in San Bernardino, California and was hired by the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department. While attending the Sheriff’s Academy in 1965, he worked construction and became an excellent electrician. He rose through the ranks of the Sheriff’s Department having many special assignments and exciting experiences worthy of a television movie. He gained local notoriety and became affectionately known (by friends) and feared (by foes) as “Dirty Harry”. Although retiring as a sergeant in 1987, he is still known by his alter ego by most Californians.

Deciding to escape California upon retirement, Harry moved to Missouri to enjoy a slower pace. Being the Jack of All Trades that he was, he built he and Carol’s home outside of Mokane, complete with a pool.

Enjoying retirement but keeping busy, Harry had many hobbies. . . Hunting and fishing, of course; construction projects; the business of fixing & repairing lawn mowers, tractors and outdoor equipment; wood working and crafts; and did we mention construction projects? His favorite hobby later became relaxing and spending quality time with family and friends.

Harry now watches over his loving family including his wife, Carol; his daughters, Denise, Cheryl, Kim, Dee, and Dawn; grandchildren, great-grandchildren; and his faithful dog, Sadie.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 8, 2018 at St. Jude Thaddeus Church with Deacon Gerald Coleman officiating. Friends will be received from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the church.

Condolences may be left for the family on this site.
